Dottie Henson Retirement Reception

photoMy Administrative Assistant, Dottie Henson, has announced her retirement from the Troup Baptist Association effective January 31, 2015.

We are inviting anybody who will to attend a short reception we are planning for Dottie immediately following our Quarterly Executive Committee Meeting on January 22, 2015.  This meeting will be held in the sanctuary portion of the association office located at 1301 Washington Street in LaGrange, Georgia and is open to the public.  So, you’re invite to either attend the meeting at 7pm and stay for the reception, or just join us around 7:30pm.  (Our Executive Committee meetings usually don’t last more than 30 minutes.)  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Judy King at: 706.882.0371.

When I hired Dottie almost nine years ago, I told her that above any other job requirement I may assign her, first and foremost, her assignment was to always make me look like a hero.  Somehow, she managed to do the impossible!  Not only did she manage to always put me in the best possible light, she became an extension of me.  She learned to think like me.  (Isn’t that scary?)  She learned what I like, don’t like, how I want things, and how I don’t want things.  She knew what to do and when to do it.  She learned how to give advice and ask questions that steered me away from many potholes.  And she never shied away from a task.  And whether or not I was in the office, I never questioned if the Troup Baptist Association office was running correctly.  I knew it was.

To say the least, I am profoundly grateful that God brought Dottie Henson across my life path and for the value she has added to this association and to me personally.

I encourage you to join me in wishing her nothing but the very best as she ventures into full retirement.

Brother Aaron
