THE BAPTIST ASSOCIATION

A good friend in a TBA church recently asked me to share more about what a Baptist Association is and does. Here are my thoughts on that question about one of the oldest and foundational Baptist characteristics. My goal here is not just to provide information, but to reveal the heart behind our heritage of cooperation and community that runs deep.

About the TBA
The Troup Baptist Association (TBA) exists to support, encourage, and develop cooperating churches in Georgia's Troup, Heard, and Meriwether counties. We believe we are "Better Together," so we have chosen to work hand-in-hand to SPREAD the Gospel, SERVE our communities, and SUPPORT one another in the mission given to all believers by Jesus Christ in the Great Commission. We are dedicated to helping one another thrive and fulfill the mission God has given us.

The Gospel
"Jesus Christ, God’s one and only son, lived the life we have failed to live, died the death we deserve to die to pay for our sin. He rose from the dead in power so we might embrace Him, receive Him, and enjoy Him now and forever in Heaven.” - Bro. Andy Buchanan
