Last year, the Troup Baptist Association Acts 1:8 Team sponsored our very first “On Mission Together Day.” It was a great success! This year the Acts 1:8 Team is expanding this to a week of local mission projects: July 16-22, 2017. The purpose of this event is to engage every church, regardless of size or location, in a local mission project of their choosing. There are fifty-four churches in the Troup Baptist Association. The idea is for every church to select a local mission event and carry it out simultaneously. The hope is that this will send a loud message about the love of Jesus Christ into our community.
We are encouraging each church to select a local mission project(s), recruit volunteers from your congregation, and simply do the project(s). Your mission project can be construction, painting, cleaning, a Backyard Bible School, or anything you choose.
